It is cleverly designed in that you can sign up for free and received notices when people do different things, including just looking at your mug. It has produced more immediate contact than some of the better known sites, only because there do not seem to be as many members. This is a double edged sword though. You are not lost in the crowd, yet your choices are somewhat limited geographically. And if you work through the profiles provided on a ordinary search you will find that people are duplicated, their same profile appearing more than once. I am giving the site a one month try again, but only after someone interesting tied to contact me. (so their marketing hook worked!) and I paid for the upgrade. The odd thing is that there is an earlier profile of me up there somewhere that I can't find or get rid of. It is in the free membership section, but I get responses to it once and awhile. I don't think it's a bad bet for the money, though. You can spend a liftime on, say,Match.com, and if you're a guy there you will not get one half the response of singlesnet Aug 30 2007 Chris Harrington I've recently tried this site. I failed to see the "bells and whistles" referenced here. In fact, they suggest that their search engine uses your input to limit the searches. I found this not to be the case. As a check, I listed that I would not date outside my race and no smokers. Another missing item is how long it has been since these profiles have been active. You cannot tell whether the individual was on today or two years ago. The monthly charge is significantly higher than other sites that allow you to build searches and limit the number of profiles you have to go through.

Dec 15 2007		N/A	Simply awful customer service. When attempting to get resolution to a simple complaint, their answer was to blow me off by telling me to call a toll number two days from now. When setting up a new account, there are no options to choose "Male looking for Male" or "Female looking for Female." You can only pick a gender, then they assume you're looking for the opposite, leaving out alternative lifestyles (lesbian, gay, bi, TG, CD). Their Terms of Service are vague and anything not explicitly stated is subject to the staff's arbitrary whims. By doing a Google Satellite search on their street address, it would appear that it's a very small operation, almost boiler-room like. I can't believe they're listed as #1 on singles.com's top 10 list. I urge all singles reading this to avoid that site like the plague.

It is cleverly designed in that you can sign up for free and received notices when people do different things, including just looking at your mug. It has produced more immediate contact than some of the better known sites, only because there do not seem to be as many members. This is a double edged sword though. You are not lost in the crowd, yet your choices are somewhat limited geographically. And if you work through the profiles provided on a ordinary search you will find that people are duplicated, their same profile appearing more than once. I am giving the site a one month try again, but only after someone interesting tied to contact me. (so their marketing hook worked!) and I paid for the upgrade. The odd thing is that there is an earlier profile of me up there somewhere that I can't find or get rid of. It is in the free membership section, but I get responses to it once and awhile. I don't think it's a bad bet for the money, though. You can spend a liftime on, say,Match.com, and if you're a guy there you will not get one half the response of singlesnet
Aug 30 2007	Chris Harrington		I've recently tried this site. I failed to see the "bells and whistles" referenced here. In fact, they suggest that their search engine uses your input to limit the searches. I found this not to be the case. As a check, I listed that I would not date outside my race and no smokers. I still wound up with the same list of 500 names that I had before and continue to receive matches for people in these categories. Another missing item is how long it has been since these profiles have been active. You cannot tell whether the individual was on today or two years ago. The monthly charge is significantly higher than other sites that allow you to build searches and limit the number of profiles you have to go through.
